Samba World Cup

*Alive MediaSoft have just announced the signing of Samba World Cup with them regarding it as "shaping up to be the best footey game on the Amiga". But the most exciting piece of news is that it will be ready for the release in the first week of July, meaning that we will get a soccer game in time for the World Cup.

Samba World Cup under development by developers Sayonara Software has comprehensive management for one to two players, along with the exciting action part which has complete joystick control.

It will boast 6 of the best leagues in Europe including the Premier Division (England), Serie A (Italy), Bundesliga, Dutch, French, and Spainsh. There will be an addition of European Cup games and of course the World Cup.

Can you wait to be in control?
There should be plenty of statistics, transfers and all that which goes with management. One of the more promising features is full spoken commentary (both in German and English) of the soccer match, incredible digitized stadium atmosphere and SFX. It'll include 6 different weather conditions for each match and you can use a video recorder facility for saving highlights. A welcomed inclusion is that it should have a Editor for changing names of players and the colors of kits for keeping it all up to date.

Samba World CupThe requirements are various with there being both an Aga and ECS versions on CD-Rom or disk, with support for extra Fast Ram and GFX Cards. The minimum for ECS is an A500/ A600 with 1.5MB Ram, the Aga version requires an A1200/ A4000 with 2.5MB Ram.

The wait should be short and a demo is expected to be ready next week, it's great to hear that the Amiga will like other platforms be getting a game in time for the World Cup thanks to both Sayonara Software and Alive MediaSoft.
